The Bradford brood, led by Dick Van Patten, was larger than the Bradys, this we know. Another stat? This third season landed the series its highest spot on the ratings chart. According to online episode guides, the season opener featured teen Tommy (Willie Aames) dating two girls at once. For one of them, he became the ''Disco Kid,'' and for the other, ''Mellow Man.'' We hope Aames chronicled that journey in his 2007 autobiography, Grace is Enough.
