KONG
King Kong (1933)
Kinda reminds us of another great movie monster: Frankenstein's. At first Kong is utterly terrifying, when getting a little too close to poor Ann Darrow, but by the end of the story, he's the misunderstood monster brought down my mankind's ignorance and fear. And while he was magical in the 1933 original (left), he was truly majestic in Peter Jackson's 2005 remake. Even though Dino De Laurentiis' 1976 remake fell short of the mark, the legendary producer was right when he allegedly said, "When monkey die, everybody cry.''
