Gone Baby Gone (2007)
Ben Affleck's fine adaptation of Dennis Lehane's novel features an Oscar-nominated performance by Amy Ryan as a the druggie mother of a kidnapped tot, as well as a star turn by kid brother Casey, playing a cocky Boston private eye who gets torn between tribal loyalties. He manages to hold onto his integrity, but only at the cost of all he holds dear.
