ROSEWOOD (1997)
When a white woman was killed in the neighboring town of Sumner in 1923, a lynch mob visited the mostly black town of Rosewood, Florida and started killing. John Singleton stepped back from his familiar Los Angeles settings for this period fact-based melodrama.
