MEN OF HONOR (2000)
Cuba Gooding Jr. finally made good on that Oscar by playing Carl Brashear, the first African-American diver to graduate from the U.S Navy Diving and Salvage School, and hold the rank of Master Diver despite the best efforts of a government and a whole roster of fellow sailors who didn't want him to. The fact that he was also an amputee only makes his story that much more triumphant.
