MISS EVERS' BOYS (1997)
A look at the infamous Tuskegee Study of Untreated Syphilis in the Negro Male which took hundreds of men infected with the disease and withheld life-saving medicines for decades to observe how they died from the perspective of a morally conflicted nurse (Alfre Woodard, in an Emmy-winning performance) who can't bear to be a party to such a miscarriage of science...and can't leave those men to die alone.
