His fourth sports comedy since 2005 found Ferrell equipped with a 'fro, headband, and shockingly white thighs (exposed by his '70s-era uniform) as the delusional player/coach of the Flint, Mich., Tropics who valiantly tries to get his boys into the big leagues. The comedy failed to score with audiences or at the box office, perhaps due to its limiting R rating, earning only slightly more in its total run than Blades of Glory did its opening weekend.
