Ferrell followed up the raunchy Frank with the dementedly cheerful Buddy, the North Pole émigré who leaves Santa's workshop to find his birth father in New York. Despite being surrounded by cynical city folk, Buddy remains as sweet as the syrup he pours on spaghetti, cereal, and everything else.
