MICHAEL STIPE SAYS: ''I'm wearing Tracy Feith and my hospital [wrist]band because I'd just had hernia surgery and was on incredible amounts of painkillers. We performed a song called, ''Wake Up Bomb.'' The glasses were a gift from Johnny Zander, who's a male model. I gave him some tickets to one of our shows, and he gave me this beautiful pair of vintage sunglasses from the '70s. I really wanted to wear a do-rag, but as a white man I had to ask my black friends if it was okay for me to wear a do-rag because I was bald, and they all said 'Yeah, wear it, it'll look great,' and it worked. Mike [Mills] grew out his hair because I didn't have any, so that was really generous of him.''
