2006: ARCTIC MONKEYS

The Arctic Monkeys' album, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, was the fastest-selling debut CD ever in Britain when it was released in January '06. After releasing their CD stateside, the post-punk band took SXSW by storm. In April '07, they released their second album, Favourite Worst Nightmare, with new bassist Nick O'Malley, and toured through December. They plan on releasing a third album sometime this year.
