2004: THE HIVES

Having been around the proverbial rock block, these Swedes impressed the crowds at SXSW with their extensive song list. In '95 the band released their first EP, Oh Lord! When? How? before moving on to their debut full-length CD, Barely Legal. The band took a hiatus before returning with their sophomore effort, Veni Vidi Vicious, in '00 (re-released stateside in '02). Touring kept them busy until '04, when they released Tyrannosaurus Hives and in November '07, The Black and White Album.
