2003: HOT HOT HEAT

These Canadian retro-rockers must have buzz in their blood. The band told EW that their '03 SXSW show had people ''lined up around the block and climbing over walls to see us.'' Known for extensive touring, the group was signed by Sub Pop and released an EP, Knock Knock Knock, in '01, and their full length, Make Up the Breakdown, in October '02. They signed with Sire Records and released Elevator in '05 and Happiness Ltd. in '07.
