Why we're excited: Clooney's third outing in the director's chair is a period sports pic that tips its hat to the screwball comedies of yore. The movie's setup — a love triangle between a veteran football player (Clooney), his rookie teammate (Krasinski), and a scrappy reporter (Zellweger, channeling Rosalind Russell) — sounds as thin as the players' leather helmets, but we have faith in the cast's old-school star power to bring home a win.
