EPISODE: ''Scattered''
ORIGINAL AIR DATE: July 15, 2005
SURVIVORS REMAINING: 47,875

PLOT SUMMARY: Where were we? Oh, yes: Galactica-Boomer popped a cap in Adama; the Kobol team was marooned; and Starbuck found the Arrow of Apollo, plus Helo (hooray!) and Caprica-Boomer (huh?), but learned that both are expecting a hideous bundle of hybrid joy. Now, with Adama comatose, a stressed-out Tigh — haunted by memories of his boozy pre-Galactica days — takes command. He tosses Apollo in the brig with Roslin, beats up Galactica-Boomer, and hastily makes a jump without the rest of the fleet. On Kobol, the Raptor crew comes under intense fire while Six presents Baltar with a vision of something the Cylons deeply covet: Boomer's baby. Speaking of the inhuman mom to be, she boosts Starbuck's Cylon fighter and flies off, inspiring Kara to quip: ''Bitch took my ride.'' Galactica endures a firefight and viral assault to reunite with the fleet, but is infiltrated by toasters in the process.

CRITIQUE: Exciting but very rebooty. A nice showcase for Michael Hogan's Tigh, on his way to becoming a more complex, crucial presence.

GRADE: B — Jeff Jensen
