Oskar Schindler's right-hand man is responsible for the idea that sets the movie in motion. By employing Stern's fellow Jews as forced labor in his factory, Stern suggests, Schindler can boost his profit margin and save them from the Nazis. Never was an under-the-table bookkeeping scheme more noble.
