BLACKWOODS (2002)
Hush. Tread softly, now. Or you will scare off that most rare of beasts the okay-ish Uwe Boll flick. Yes, even a stopped clock is right twice a day. And this Deliverance-evoking tale of one man's disastrous trip to visit his girlfriend's family in the country is 10 minutes past just about bearable, in a straight-to-video kind of way. Patrick Muldoon (Starship Troopers) essays the lead role, while Michael Pare plays another cop. Meanwhile, Clint ''brother-of-Ron'' Howard joins the Boll thespian family as a sleazy motel clerk.
