DANIEL FARADAY
Jeremy Davies
Offbeat, anxious physicist fixated with time travel and one of four would-be castaway rescuers who've arrived with all sorts of hidden agendas in their luggage. While teaching at Oxford, Faraday (whose name was inspired from famed physicist Michael Faraday) was developing the means for quantum-leaping via consciousness projection. With an assist from time-traveling, timeline-revising Desmond, Faraday fine-tuned his device. The quirky prof — whose rocket test detected a small but significant differential between Island time and off-Island time — has shown signs of suffering from a kind of disconcerting déjà vu. Could he be remembering events he's already experienced (and forgotten) thanks to his Doc Brown dabbling?
