After Sam forbade Diane to pose for arrogant painter Phillip Semenko (guest star Christopher Lloyd), she went behind his back and did it anyway, spurring a brutal, nose-pulling argument. All season long these spats had led to comical make-ups, but this tense brawl ended with a stubborn Sam kicking her out of his bar — and then gasping at the beauty of her painting. —Josh Wolk
