Smartypants Nupur Lala might have won the 1999 Scripps National Spelling Bee by correctly spelling logorrhea (def: ''incessant or compulsive talkativeness''), but it was Harry Altman's logorrhea in the 2002 documentary that won our hearts. When Lala was studying, Altman was speaking like a musical robot. When Lala was talking to cameras about her work ethic, Altman was asking the cameramen if the boom mic was edible. Yet, the eccentric kid managed to survive a whopping four rounds in the bee. What can we say? We L-O-V-E the underdog. Kate Ward
