BEST ACTOR, COMEDY
GILLIAN FLYNN: Gotta be Alec Baldwin for his fussy, blustery 30 Rock executive, right? I mean, who else is there?
KEN TUCKER: Baldwin is the man, I agree he never goes over the top in a crazily smart show. I'd also thumb my nose at Fox for canceling Back to You and nominate Kelsey Grammer how many other actors have given three excellent consecutive sitcom-series performances? In Cheers, Frasier, and now Back to You, Grammer has refined his fussy-cad persona to perfection, even if Back to You wasn't in the same quality league as his earlier shows. But then, Fox never gave the show a chance to come to full bloom...
GILLIAN: Grammer, fine. He's reliably funny, but it's hard to get excited about him the man is sick with Emmys!
KEN: What about petitioning the Emmy committee to reclassify Boston Legal as a comedy? It's certainly gone more and more in that direction, and under those circumstances, I'd push for James Spader or William Shatner as the goofiest lawyers in TV history.
