Atonement's Green Goddess
Sure the period piece was nominated for seven Oscars, but some may consider it iconic solely because of a certain striking wardrobe choice: the emerald green, floor-length gown worn by Keira Knightley during a passionate summer evening in the British countryside. The dress made out of layers of organza, silk satin, and chiffon was created by costume designer Jacqueline Durran from scratch.
