60. SCREAM (1996)
Using a brilliantly self-aware script written by Dawson Creek's Kevin Williamson, veteran scare-meister Wes Craven reinvigorated the slasher genre with this scary-funny horror movie about horror movies, which spawned two sequels and a host of imitators.
