DESTINATION MOON (1950)
A forward-thinking industrialist plans and finances a lunar mission. Four astronauts (red-blooded Americans, of course) successfully land on the moon, but then discover they might not have enough fuel to make it back home. Based on a story by Robert Heinlein, it is widely regarded as the first space film to incorporate generally accepted scientific principles.
