When Guillermo del Toro was growing up in Guadalajara, Mexico, he slept with a stuffed mutant werewolf that he'd made himself, with help from his grandmother. Now he's one of Hollywood's most buzzed-about new auteurs. His latest movie, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, opens July 11. And soon the director, 43, will relocate to New Zealand to begin the first of two films from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit.
