CLAYTON MOORE
The Lone Ranger (1949-57)
The Lone Ranger rode onto the small screen in 1949 positioned primarily as a children's program. As the story goes, the titular character was one of six Texas Rangers who were ambushed by a group of bandits. The only one to survive hence, the Lone Ranger donned a mask to hide his identity from the assailants and set out to bring them to justice with the help of friend Tonto and the William Tell Overture.
