Kirk has damage control in mind when he, Spock, and McCoy beam down to a planet corrupted by the influence of a Federation starship that landed there a century before. The Iotians have adopted the gangster culture of 1920s Chicago for their own, allowing Kirk to indulge his inner Edward G. Robinson and don an atrociously fuzzy fedora. Sadly, we learn that Kirk is a terrible driver and is willing to point a tommy gun at a kid. He also fakes a ridiculous GoodFellas accent and calls Spock ''Spocko.''
