From whales to tribbles, Khan to mobsters, the big kahuna of the ''Enterprise'' had his share of heroic episodes, as well as his cheese-filled head scratchers -- we have them all recorded in our log...
THE MOB, ACTUALLY, DOESN'T RULE
''A Piece of the Action,'' Star Trek: The Original Series (1968)
Kirk has damage control in mind when he, Spock, and McCoy beam down to a planet corrupted by the influence of a Federation starship that landed there a century before. The Iotians have adopted the gangster culture of 1920s Chicago for their own, allowing Kirk to indulge his inner Edward G. Robinson and don an atrociously fuzzy fedora. Sadly, we learn that Kirk is a terrible driver and is willing to point a tommy gun at a kid. He also fakes a ridiculous GoodFellas accent and calls Spock ''Spocko.''
