It's a controversial choice — even I can't believe I'm not saying ''Bonnaroo'' — but my first trip to ACL was a balm on the rash of a long, loud summer. Breezy climate, great crowds, delicious food, manageable distances between stages, well-organized security, and gorgeous music that inspired goosebumps under a Texas sun just warm enough to melt them away.
