The debate on titles begins and ends with Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. It is the subtitle that really does it (though Strangelove, as the name of a physicist who gets just a bit too excited about the notion of nuclear holocaust, is wonderful in its own right), invoking both the spirit of the happy-go-lucky '60s with the sheer terror of mushroom clouds.
