5. IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA: SEASON 3
I was late to the Sunny party, dismissing its first season as meandering and tasteless. But now, watching the third season in big gulps, I see that it's meandering and tasteless by design. The quartet of Philly pals Glenn Howerton, Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Kaitlin Olson find humor in a baby left in a Dumpster, mock a deaf-mute, and generally consider inebriation a riot. This is a current comedy that defies the odds in our supposed death-of-the-sitcom era.
