ALEX MICHEL
Season 1

The inaugural Bachelor and his chosen one, Amanda Marsh, announced their breakup in early 2003. Today, the Harvard and Stanford alum works as a media industry exec in New York City and as the ''proposal expert'' for Princess Cruises' Department of Romance, offering advice online and judging contests. In a serious relationship for a couple of years now, Michel admits that his Bachelor gig had been the ''ultimate icebreaker'' with women — but that there was also often some explaining to do. ''With my girlfriend, her dad watched the entire show right before meeting me, which was probably not the best introduction,'' he says. ''But I think it ended up okay because he was so pleasantly surprised that I was nice and focused only on his daughter.'' So is there a ring in his future? ''It's definitely a possibility,'' he says.
