FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH (1982)
Malls were the hot hang-out spot in the '80s, and Fast Times is the quintessential '80s movie, so it's only natural that the two would go together like peaches and cream. Ridgemont Mall is the place of employment for pizza-slingers Linda (Phoebe Cates) and Stacy (Jennifer Jason Leigh), theater-worker Mark (Brian Backer), and ticket-scalper Damone (Robert Romanus). It's the setting for many (ill-advised) sex talks and flirtations — basically, it's the foundation upon which all the dysfunctional relationships in the film are built.
