Dave stuck to wall in a Velcro suit (Feb. 28, 1984)
Like Steve Allen before him, Letterman liked to put himself through odd ordeals in his show's early years. One of the best had him stuck to a wall while dressed in a suit of velcro. He ran across a stretch of stage, jumped on a trampoline, and slammed himself against a velcro-covered wall. A classic sight-gag.
