It was supposed to be Alec Baldwin as the President of Television who introduced Jane Lynch to the building with all our favorite characters, but Leonard Nimoy got the nod after Baldwin bowed out over a nixed joke. Spock's no Jack Donaghy, but Lynch was off and running (and singing) before we could second-guess the decision too much.
