Brothers & Sisters — May 11, 2008

The season 2 finale nuptials — between Kevin (Matthew Rhys) and Scotty (Luke Macfarlane) — took place at the home of mother Nora (Sally Field), amid more flowers than Kevin (or anyone) would have desired, because she wanted to give him the wedding he deserved, a night as romantic and memorable as anyone else's. (In fact, it was historic — the first same-sex union between series regulars on American broadcast TV.) Sister Kitty (Calista Flockhart) officiated, brother Tommy (Balthazar Getty) and brother-in-law/Republican senator Robert (Rob Lowe) offered their rings as stand-ins, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. TV dramas need drama, of course, but we hope this marriage, the most stable and loving on the series, stays that way. —Mandi Bierly
