Glenn Howerton (second from right), on why It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia resonates with fans: ''I think there's a reason people have learned to relate to these characters and have sympathy for these characters, regardless of the fact that they're awful. I think in our society, we weirdly have some of the same impulses that these characters have. Just, hopefully, people don't follow through with them. It's nice to watch sort of in a fantastical world what would happen if you actually did follow through with some of your more awful and primitive impulses.'' Kate Ward
