The Entertainment Industry Foundation assembled stars of stage and screen for ''Love Rocks,'' a Valentine's Day event to honor Bono, the lead singer of Irish rockers U2, for his charitable efforts. The foundation presented him with its Heart of Entertainment award, which was accompanied by musical tributes from Lauryn Hill, No Doubt, R.E.M., and Cher, and kind words from Tom Cruise, Kevin Spacey, and Disney's Michael Eisner.
STAR AND STIPE Michael Stipe (with the guest of honor) sang a surprise duet of ''I've Got You, Babe'' with Cher, and later interpreted U2's mournful ballad ''One''
