Love Story (1970)
Love Story just did NOT age well. I loved it when I was a kid: made me cry and everything. Now it’s laughable smaltz, and I can’t remember what I ever saw in it that I liked. — Vicki
Love Story is AWFUL! How it ever got to be known as a ''classic'' is beyond me. It’s sinfully boring, and the melodrama of it is laughably jejune. — M
I mean there is no meaningful dialogue and they never really explain what is going on. Very little romance and not much physical going on because of the era it was made. Ali McGraw and Ryan O’Neal never came across as being head over heels in love, and the movie is just bad, laughable in fact. No classic in my book. — DeeDee
