WHY SHE'S HOT At some point this year, you've almost certainly had one of 21-year-old Ashanti Douglas' hooks caught in your head. From collaborations with rappers to her own hits, she's hardly left the top 10 of the singles chart. She's garnered comparisons to Mary J. Blige, but given her ubiquity, pop savvy, and oft-bared belly, a more accurate comparison might be to Britney Spears -- except that Ashanti writes her own songs.
