The ''Girlfriend'' remix -- which is more like a duet between Nelly and Justin -- rescued what had been a mediocre song and brought Nelly even farther into pop territory. His current hit ''Hot in Herre'' (from his new album ''Nellyville'') is a sure bet for NEXT year's VMAs -- and in the meantime, he's got his own TV sitcom on the way.
