URBAN GROWLBOY Jeez, New York really was rougher in the '70s; in this scene from the TV show, none of the jaded Manhattanites seem fazed by the green goliath among them. But the TV Hulk rarely met such a gentle reception -- usually he was hated and feared. Meanwhile, Dr. Banner was forced to live a life devoid of human connections. He and the Hulk were falsely blamed for a murder, so Banner spent the whole series (which ended in 1982) pretending to be dead. Next Item in this Gallery
