SIXTEEN CANDLES (1984)
It's a fairytale ending a girl can live off of for years. There's the boy Samantha Baker (Molly Ringwald) has been obsessing over, leaning against a red Porsche, ready to whisk her away for cake and a table-top makeout session. (There were chairs, Jake, but we can appreciate a pretty visual.) With a voice as soft as his — ''Happy Birthday, Samantha. Make a wish.'' — you know her heart is safe. (Her virtue?
