In his new film The Bucket List, Jack Nicholson (pictured with costar Morgan Freeman) plays a guy with a lot of life adventures on his to-do list and not much time to accomplish them. In real life, of course, there's very little Nicholson hasn't accomplished in his long and celebrated film career, which began 50 years ago with his debut in 1958's The Cry Baby Killer and has gone on to include 12 Oscar nominations (more than anyone except Meryl Streep), three Academy Awards, and many of the most unforgettable characters in screen history.
