
Clint Eastwood's tragic boxing story Million Dollar Baby won the title at the 77th annual Oscar ceremony, sweeping the major awards with Best Director, Best Picture, and two acting trophies for Morgan Freeman and Hilary Swank (who won her second Best Actress statue in five years). But the movie that took home the most awards was 11-time nominee The Aviator with five statues including four craft awards and Best Supporting Actress for Cate Blanchett.
