All About

Fantasia Barrino

Fantasia Barrino may be a 20-year-old high school dropout, but she's also about to be a published memoirist. USA Today reports that last year's American Idol champ has signed a book deal with Fireside, a division of Simon & Schuster, to write an autobiography called Life Is Not a Fairy Tale. The book, due in October, will trace her path from being a single mom in High Point, N.C. to becoming a pop star.

Of course, if you can't wait until fall, you can catch the three-minute sneak preview version on Wednesday's results episode of Idol, where Fantasia is scheduled to make a return visit to sing her current autobiographical hit ''Baby Mama.''
