Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon star as a pair of small-time Chicago musicians who, after witnessing the 1929 St. Valentine's Day Massacre, escape the mob by going undercover as women in an all-female jazz band. Curtis falls for the lead singer of the band (Marilyn Monroe) and Lemmon — who's stuck in drag as "Daphne" — is pursued by millionaire Osgood Fielding III (Joe E. Brown). Some Like it Hot was the all-time highest-grossing comedy of its time and introduced the concept of cross-dressing to America. The film was nominated for six Academy Awards, and has one of the best closing lines in history.
