Randall "Memphis" Raines (Nicolas Cage) has 24 hours to steal 50 cars in order to save his brother from a ruthless crime boss. With that many cars, you know there's bound to be at least one exciting car chase. Number 50 is a silver 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 that is pursued by tenacious police detective Roland Castlebeck (Delroy Lindo). Memphis drives backward down a major thoroughfare and through the L.A. River at top speeds of 160 mph to shake the cops. Just when it seems like the daredevil is trapped by a congested bridge and the chase is over, Memphis takes a leap of faith and jumps the ramp of a stalled truck and over a couple of ambulances and gets away. — MSL
