The Amazing Race (CBS) I love watching other people miss airline flights and yell at each other!	Desperate Housewives (ABC) They've jumped ahead five years—the least I can do is show up on time for them.	The Simpsons/King of the Hill (Fox) Here's where I cap off the night with some DVR'd laffs.
	Chuck (NBC) Watch it for the first few weeks; if it isn't terrific, switch to Fox's Sarah Connor Chronicles for real-time viewing. I'll DVR The CW's Gossip Girl for cheese-snack later.	Heroes (NBC) Because this season, it's all about the villains...	My Own Worst Enemy (NBC) I'll watch this Christian Slater thriller until its complex plot drives me crazy—or makes be a rabid fan! (And—guilty pleasure—I plan to record ABC's Boston Legal to scan through for James Spader's always amusing trial summaries.)
	90210 (The CW) Oh, all right, I'll watch it. But that doesn't mean I won't hate myself.	Fringe (Fox) or The Mentalist (CBS) Ooh, tough choice until one of these shows proves superior to the other. Okay, I'll watch Fringe and DVR The Mentalist. Or wait—maybe the other way around.	Eli Stone (ABC) Eli all the way—I dig that kooky attorney. And, okay, I may sneak in Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta if I DVR'd it from 9 p.m.
	The New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS) No Bones about it: I'm watching Julia Louis-Dreyfus in Old Christine, then reading—yes, reading!—until 9 p.m.	Stylista (The CW) I have a feeling I'll be adding this Devil Wears Prada-meets-Survivor reality competition to my guilty-pleasure watching.	Dirty Sexy Money (ABC) This soap will keep me engrossed as long as they make Blair Underwood even more complicatedly likable/unlikable.
	Survivor (CBS) Gabon looks really good this season—by which I mean, really difficult for the grotty contestants. But I'll also DVR Molly Shannon and Selma Blair's Kath & Kim to see if it's funny, as well as SNL: Thursday Night Live at 8:30 during the political season (October 9, 16 and 23).	The Office/ 30 Rock (NBC) TV's only reliable one-two punch for comedy is essential. Will also DVR CSI every week and watch it when I can—love the original crispy version of that franchise.	Life on Mars (ABC) or Eleventh Hour (CBS) I plan to real-time watch/DVR these shows until one proves disposable. Then I may record a few weeks of ER, to see if it's got any juice in its final season.
	Ken's variety hour Here's where I watch either Life on Mars, Eleventh Hour, or ER from the preceding night.	Supernanny (ABC) I must admit a sneaking curiosity/admiration for this series—I like Jo Frost's no-nonsenseness.	Life (NBC) Get some Life in yours—the underrated-in-every-sense cop show with Damian Lewis as a Zen detective.
	Cops (Fox) Two Cops in a row—in a slim night of entertainment, thank goodness for this long-running law enforcement staple.	The Big Bang Theory/ How I Met Your Mother (CBS) DVR these Monday comedies, and then pop some corn and have a few Saturday-night snickers.	The Shield (FX) Time for my DVR'd Tuesday-night episodes of Michael Chiklis in his final season as Vic Mackey. It's perfect Saturday-night's-all-right-for-fighting viewing!
