You know those rousing movie speeches in which the hero successfully convinces their compadres that they’re capable of great things with the sheer power of oratory? Well, the pep talk that James Franco’s Tommy Wiseau gives to the cast and crew of The Room in the Franco-directed The Disaster Artist is not really the best example of that, as an exclusive clip from the film reveals.

The Disaster Artist details how actor-writer-director Wiseau and his costar Greg Sestero made The Room and accidentally created a cult phenomenon. Based on Sestero and Tom Bissell’s 2013 book The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room, The Greatest Bad Movie Ever Made, the movie costars Dave Franco as Sestero as well as Seth Rogen, Alison Brie, Josh Hutcherson, Zac Efron, Jacki Weaver, and Paul Scheer.
