If you’re still recovering from The Flash‘s emotional first season finale, you’re not the only one. According to star Grant Gustin, Barry isn’t dealing with it so well himself.

“He doesn’t necessarily feel like a hero right now,” Gustin says, adding that Barry is “working on his own” in the wake of Eddie’s death.

Gustin, along with fellow cast members Tom Cavanagh, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, John Wesley Shipp, and Carlos Valdes, stopped by the Entertainment Weekly Lounge at Comic-Con last week, where they teased the consequences of Eddie’s sacrifice — including its effect on Barry’s relationship with Iris. As for Cavanagh, whose character Eddie effectively wiped from existence, he’ll be spending this season fetching coffee for the rest of the cast. Maybe.

The cast also teased what the appearance of Jay Garrick’s helmet could mean for the show. Says Gustin, “They don’t do Easter eggs without paying them off at some point.”
