The Jinx creators cancel interviews, release statement on Robert Durst case

After this weekend’s arrest of Robert Durst and the bombshell finale of their HBO documentary The Jinx, director Andrew Jarecki and writer Marc Smerling are canceling interviews with the media, according to a statement to EW.

Robert Durst's bathroom confession is the creepiest poem of all time

[Spoiler alert: If you haven’t watched the finale of HBO’s The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst yet, stop reading NOW.]

HBO’s The Jinx came to a close last night with a ‘whoops’ moment for the ages. In the final minutes of the show’s finale, director Andrew Jarecki presented a telling piece of evidence to subject (and suspected serial murderer) Robert Durst. But after a couple of shrugs, burps, and the shaking of hands, it seemed any sort of confession was off the table.

That is, until Durst proceeded to the bathroom, microphone still on—and muttered what amounts to his own demise.

The creepiest part? When strung together, Durst’s confession sounds like a free-verse poem that’s sure to send chills down your spine.
